Hello! You can call me Daphne. I’m a 23-year old Photographer and Multimedia Designer based in Manila, Philippines.
Though I’ve been fascinated with taking photos since I was little, I only started taking photography seriously in 2007. My frustration with the guitar led me into taking photos of musicians. I started taking photos of friends and family, and was fortunate enough to be invited later to cover events and concerts professionally.
I rarely travel but when I do, I make sure that I bring back good memories (and of course, photos). Conceptual and fine art photography is something I used to enjoy doing in college (mainly for class) that I’m still struggling to find time to experiment with again.
My works have been printed in local publications like The Philippine Daily Inquirer, The Philippine Star, Digital Photographer Philippines, and PULP Magazine.
Aside from photography, I also do video. PROGENY is my magnum opus. It is a documentary on progressive rock music here in the Philippines. PROGENY was a project requirement for graduation (others would compare it to thesis work) which took me a year to finish. It won Best Documentary and Cinemaster’s Choice at UP Cinema’s Piling Obrang Vidyo 7. Watch it here
One of my latest video works also made it to the 23rd Gawad CCP Independent Film & Video Competition & Festival. It’s a short entitled Dear Doubt that I shot and co-directed with Out There Productions. It was screened last 22 November 2011 at the CCP Dream Theater (Tanghalang Manuel Conde). More about it here

Daphne earned her degree from the School of Design and Arts of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde where the Student Grants Office has awarded her with an academic scholarship to study Multimedia Arts. She graduated Cum Laude in July 2010.
Daphne is also working full-time as a designer for a Danish business conglomerate which is also the largest container ship and supply vessel operator in the world.
