Progeny
PROGENY is a short documentary that I worked on from 2009-2010. The documentary is about the state of Progressive Rock music in the Philippines, and how our prog artists are struggling to change the industry. It mainly features the bands Eternal Now and Fuseboxx, with appearances from Francis Brew Reyes (The Dawn), Kitchen Sync, Cinderblock, Nimbus Crowd, and Salindiwa.
Working on the project solo end-to-end made me appreciate all the roles and manpower needed to get a video project done -- from conceptualization, script writing, story boarding, oculars, interviews. cinematography, shooting, scoring, and finally editing in post! It was a tiring year-long project that I am still very proud of today.
This video won awards for Best Documentary (gold trophy) & Cinemaster's Choice (silver trophy) at UP CINEMA's Piling Obrang Vidyo (POV) 7!
